BASIC CARE

Weak, dirty, or blurry lamps will certainly lead to poor healing.

Surface contamination and/or poor treatments can cause lack of adhesion.

HANDLING

Caution. This product contains acrylic monomers and oligomers. It is therefore irritating to the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Handle using protective gloves and safety glasses in a well-ventilated area. In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water, avoiding the use of solvents. In case of eye contact, rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and then seek medical advice, taking this literature and the SDS with you.

ADDITIVES

They should be avoided whenever possible.

However, if necessary, Ddgraf has a complete line of additives.

ADUV Diluent (use 3 to 5%)

Used to reduce viscosity.

ADUV Photoinitiator (use 3 to 5%)

Used to speed up the drying of colored inks.

ADUV Leveling Agent (use 1 to 2%)

Used to even out colored paints.

Ima Screen GP

GP 5500 Glossy Vinyl Paint

TYPE OF INK

High-gloss, quick-drying vinyl paint made from pure, high-quality resins.

APPLICATION

For all laminated and semi-laminated vinyl materials. These inks are especially recommended for printing on self-adhesive vinyl. They also give very good results on rigid vinyl materials. With 5-10% styrene solvent, GP inks have very good adhesion to polystyrene.

SOLVENT

GP 5500 Normal Solvent.

Quantity: approximately 10% depending on the color.

DRYING

Physical drying through solvent evaporation. The paint layer does not sweat or become sticky when stacked.

DRYING TIME

Approximately one hour, depending on the humidity level, ventilation, and temperature. A high percentage of plasticizers in the vinyl material increases the drying time. We advise stacking only after 8 hours. For printing very fine details, Universal Retarder (10-15%) can be added. When excess Retarder is added, the print quality does not decrease, but the adhesion of the ink layer may be reduced.

ADHESION

Excellent. Solvents penetrate rigid vinyl with some difficulty, but there is a special solvent for this purpose. In this case, it is recommended to use GP 5500 Solvent for Rigid PVC. Solvents penetrate plastic-coated vinyl more easily and more deeply.

ELASTICITY

Very high elasticity, even greater than the material it is printed on. The expansion or shrinkage of the material is perfectly accommodated by the ink.

OPACITY

Very good for all colors. The opacity of Paris Green GP 5513 and Geranium GP 5509 is slightly lower than the other colors.

BLEEDING

A special property of GP inks is that they do not bleed, which means that when you print white on top of red, the colors do not bleed, which is very important for preparing self-adhesive "double-sided" prints.

RESISTANCE

Excellent. GP paints are generally used with durable materials, and therefore the paint's durability matches the material's durability, even when exposed to the outdoors. Under normal conditions, these paints maintain their quality for many years when exposed to the elements.

LIGHT RESISTANCE

The lightfastness of pure colors is very high (several years). The thicker the paint layer, the greater the lightfastness. When mixed with a very large amount of GP 5501 White or GP 5500 Varnish, the lightfastness decreases.

OBSERVATION

The GP 5523 Reflective Blue color is the only one that does not have good resistance to light or weathering and, consequently, is not suitable for jobs that require these characteristics.

PRINTING

In general, it is not necessary to add a retarder to achieve very fine details. These are achieved very easily. GP inks do not block the screen and print without causing the "spider web" effect. Printed surfaces are completely smooth.

EXTENSION CAPACITY

Depending on the screen used, GP 5500 ink has the following yield:

Has Screen IM

MATTE VINYL PAINT IM 1100

TYPE

Quick-drying matte paint for PVC.

APPLICATION

On all types of PVC substrates. When diluted with styrene solvents, IM 1100 paints have good adhesion to polystyrene.

PRINT QUALITY

The print quality of IM 1100 inks is excellent, producing very sharp outlines.

Fine details can be printed without the need for additives.

DRYING

Through evaporation of the solvents.

DRYING TIME

In the air, the prints are dry to the touch after 10 minutes. They can be stacked after 5 hours. In the tunnel at 60-70 ºC, drying takes approximately 2 minutes.

SOLVENTS

Solvent IM 1100 – Normal.

RETARDER

Universal Retarder.

ADHESION

Excellent quality over PVC.

For very rigid surfaces, use GP 5500 solvent for rigid PVC.

ELASTICITY

Very good.

OPACITY

All colors are perfectly opaque.

WEATHER RESISTANCE

Several years.

LIGHT RESISTANCE

Very good for all colors, except for fluorescent colors and reflective blue.

INK YIELD

35-45 m² per liter, depending on the screen used.

SCREENS

All films can be used except for nitrocellulose-based films.

CLEANING

Universal Cleaning Solvent.

Ima Screen TDC

Two-component ink TDC 8700

TYPE OF INK

Two-component, glossy ink for printing on automatic, semi-automatic, or manual printing presses.

TDC 8700 ink is resistant to alcohol, esters, cosmetic products (shampoo, hairspray), detergent, soap, mineral oil, and gasoline.

TDC 8700 ink is not resistant to aggressive aromatic solvents, ketones, or aggressive chlorinated hydrocarbons.

APPLICATION

TDC 8700 ink is particularly suitable for surfaces that are difficult to print on with fast-drying inks, such as: Pre-treated Polyethylene, Pre-treated Polypropylene, Polyester, Hard PVC, ABS, Polyurethane, Aluminum, Copper, Tinplate, Lacquered Substrates, Nylon.

TDC 8700 paint also adheres to various surfaces, such as PVC, without the use of hardener. MIX 90 parts by weight of TDC 8700 paint with 10 parts by weight of TDC 8700 Normal Hardener.

This ratio can be increased to 70 parts TDC 8700 paint with 30 parts TDC 8700 Normal Hardener.

However, the more hardener used, the less flexible the film will be after curing. Instead of 10 to 30% of TDC 8700 Normal Hardener, 4 to 12% of TDC 8700 Special Hardener can be used. TDC 8700 Special Hardener has the advantage of maintaining the rheological characteristics of the ink.

USEFUL LIFE

Undiluted and at normal temperature, the paint/hardener mixture can be used for 120 hours (approximately 1 week). Diluted at low temperatures, the paint will have greater durability.

SOLVENTS

TDC Normal Solvent, and can be used up to 10%. In very hot locations, the use of a retarder instead of solvent is recommended.

DRYING

TDC 8700 paint dries through solvent evaporation and reaction with hardener.

DRYING TIME

The paint film will be surface dry after 10-15 minutes (touch dry), and 24-48 hours in depth (complete cure). Adhesion can only be tested after the film has fully cured (after 24-48 hours).

For immediate adhesion, the surface can be placed in an oven at 100-200°C. Full curing is achieved in 2 minutes at 180°C or in 10 minutes at 100°C.

GRINDING

3 to 4 microns.

MIGRATION

There is no risk of migration.

SHINE

All colors will be vibrant after application.

FLEXIBILITY

The flexibility of the TDC 8700 ink is excellent. This is important in metal applications, where the metal must be deformed after printing. The ink layer can be applied at a 180º angle without problems.

WEATHER RESISTANCE

Excellent and superior to the support lifespan.

PERFORMANCE

45 m² per gallon, with 120 T screen.

SCREEN CLEANING

LP U Solvent.
